Description: Our client is currently seeking a Lawson Cobol Programmer. This role is 12 month plus contract and requires US Citizenship.
MUST HAVES (Both 1 and 2):
1. They must have either A or B listed below.
(A) Have a College Degree that is IT related (software or information technology). An Associates degree does not qualify.
or
(B) Have a CompTIA Security+ Certification
2. In addition to having either A or B above, they also need to have a Technical certification that is relevant to either Lawson or Cobol/Mainframe. **If they don't currently have a technical cert, we can help them get one and pay for it.**
Summary: Contractor will support the Financial applications, Lawson, and upcoming efforts and projects such as Brand Direct Marketplace, Marine Corp Invoicing, VMS Replacement, Eurpac - Scan Base Trading, Outsourcing check printing, and ADP to Lawson: Automating 3rd Party Checks. is currently operating on Lawson Portal 9.0.1.8.296, Technology 9.0.1.8.460.
Scope: The Contractor will support Lawson application with an emphasis on developing Cobol programming surrounding Lawson Application, new processes, new functionality, and projects/effort interfacing between Lawson and other applications. Requirements: • 10 years of Cobol programming
• 10 years of Lawson application
• 5 years in Unix/Linux
• 5 years Rumba
• 5 years of Oracle database • The Consultant must develop application-related documentation for Lawson application to include error checking and corrective actions resolution as needed, analyze, recommend and develop code for fixes/enhancements to Lawson application for improvements to processes that already exist or new projects/efforts. • The Consultant must assist in troubleshooting and resolving application development issues, provide level 1/2 end-user support to information system/business users, identify and correct issues, and create and update process, data, and system flow diagrams as needed. • The consultant will assist with planning, documenting and implementing an internal team document library, participate in meetings, provide weekly status reports of work completed, and perform other duties relative to the program as necessary.
