Adams & Martin Group is seeking a Litigation Assistant for a large, reputable firm in Newport Beach. The role provides comprehensive secretarial and clerical support to attorneys and paralegals, handling tasks such as legal document preparation, client billing, court filings, and scheduling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage case files and prepare legal documents (pleadings, motions, etc.).
- File documents with courts and maintain trial notebooks.
- Schedule meetings, depositions, and travel; handle expense reports.
- Organize and maintain electronic files in NetDocs.
- Support trial and mediation preparations.
- Keep accurate time records for billing.
- Assist with various administrative duties and maintain attorney calendars.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in litigation support, preferably in public law.
- Proficient in court filings and legal terminology.
- Strong organizational, communication, and proofreading skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and handle sensitive issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe, and NetDocs.
