The Machine Repair Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, diagnosing issues, and implementing effective solutions to ensure the smooth operation of our equipment. This position is critical to maintaining the efficiency and productivity of our manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, a proactive approach to maintenance, and a commitment to safety and quality. In addition to technical skills, the Machine Repair Technician must have good communication skills to effectively collaborate with other team members and report on the status of repairs and maintenance activities. Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance on industrial machinery.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Repair and replace defective parts.
  • Ensure machinery operates efficiently and safely.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repairs.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and engineers.
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve unexpected breakdowns.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Assist in the installation of new machinery.
  • Monitor and report on equipment performance.
  • Adhere to company policies and safety standards.
Requirements:
  • Must hold a Journeyman Card within Machine Repair or Maintenance Mechanic Trade or Technical certification or associate degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in machine repair.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
