What You Will Do
As a Maintenance Tech 2, you'll provide technical support for equipment, machinery, and facilities across medium technology and impact levels. Your responsibilities include performing routine preventive maintenance such as cleaning, lubrication, part replacements, and inspections, as well as intermediate tasks like precision adjustments and delicate part replacements. You'll also handle corrective maintenance, involving repairs and troubleshooting to ensure smooth operations for internal customers.
In addition, you'll support special projects, including machinery installation, equipment improvements, layout changes, and refurbishments. Your role is focused on customer satisfaction, cost and resource optimization, and meeting quality standards in line with Panduit's policies. Key Responsibilities include:
Corrective Maintenance Activities:
- Diagnose and repair functionality issues to ensure optimal working conditions.
- Update the supervisor on problems found during repairs to maintain high service levels.
- Assist Maintenance Technician 1 with corrective tasks as needed.
Preventive Maintenance Activities:
- Execute assigned preventive maintenance tasks according to the program, focusing on medium technology and impact equipment.
- Report issues discovered during preventive maintenance to the supervisor for resolution.
- Recommend improvements or adjustments to the Preventive Maintenance Program.
Maintenance Work Requests:
- Handle maintenance requests efficiently and communicate with requesters to gather necessary details.
- Track and manage materials, spare parts, and chemicals to ensure timely delivery.
Special Projects:
- Support special projects including equipment installation, upgrades, layout changes, refurbishments, and design modifications.
- Utilize A3 tools for root cause analysis and lead kaizen events to address and resolve issues.
What You Will Bring
- Required Degree: High school Diploma, or GED equivalent.
- Experience: 3-5 years relevant experience
- Customer service oriented.
- Intermediate computers skills in word processing, spreadsheet, email, internet, and design software (drawings).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze problems to find root cause solutions.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to use electrical test instruments and hand and power tools.
- Ability to use Hand Pallet, Lift Truck, Boom & Scissor Lift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lb., up to 4 hours per day.
