What to Expect

The Manager, Financial Planning & Analytics is responsible for leading the annual operating budgeting and reforecasting activities, including the detailed month-end P&L variance analysis. This position will play a key role in longterm/ annual business planning, quarterly reforecasting, and monthly mid-month projections and oversee the month-end close activities. The Manager will play a leading role in the OPEX optimization working effectively with other groups across the company.

What You Will Do

1. Lead annual operating budgeting and re-forecasting (mid-month/quarterly rolling forecasts) exercises. Assist with month-end closing from a managerial standpoint and the timely and accurate production of detailed managerial reporting that includes financial and operational data. Drive detailed understanding and effective communication of Actual/Forecast/Plan variances.

2. Lead the detailed P&L variance analysis at month-end, especially on revenue. Understand all aspects of the financial statements and manage HCA's financial performance. Prepare executive summaries.

3. Work effectively with other groups in the company and take a role in managing operating expenses. Lead or assist in the financial evaluation of new projects or initiatives.

4. Responsible for month-end closing from a managerial standpoint and the timely and accurate production of detailed managerial reporting that includes financial and operational data. Drive detailed understanding and effective communication of Actual/Forecast/Plan variances.

5. Manage and mentor a direct report.

6. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What You Will Bring

• Minimum 8 years of related experience in financial modeling and analytics

• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience

• Experience working in an auto finance, mortgage, credit card or banking organization is strongly preferred

• Bachelor degree in finance, business or related discipline; highly rated school and/or MBA a plus

• Strong analytical, quantitative, financial modeling and problem-solving skills balanced with strong execution skills

• Excellent understanding of financial data organization, financial and managerial reporting, and financial forecasting

• Outstanding business acumen

• In-depth understanding of business drivers and their impact on the P&L Proven leadership skills to direct and mentor direct reports,

• Exceptional attention to detail and quality

• Excellent communication, and presentation skills

• Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment

• Strong orientation toward results coupled with reputation for integrity, creativity, and sound judgment and decision making skills

• Must have the ability to challenge, when appropriate, existing practices

Work Environment

Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an office environment.

The posted salary range for this job takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. Successful candidates may be hired anywhere in the salary range based on these factors. It is uncommon to hire candidates at or near the top of the range.
