The Role

Moderna is seeking a Manufacturing Associate II, to help support site start up activities for our Commercial Individualized Neoantigen Therapy (INT) Program. This role will be based in Marlborough, Ma but may require regular travel to the Norwood, Ma location. As a Manufacturing Associate II, you will play a crucial role in the production of mRNA vaccines. This position demands a blend of scientific knowledge, operational expertise, and digital proficiency. You'll be an integral part of site startup team responsible for operational readiness, execution of Engineering and PPQ runs during the project phase which will last through 2024. The manufacturing team will be dedicated to producing safe and effective medicines, upholding strict cGMP compliance, and contributing to operational excellence in a dynamic, technology-driven environment. Standard working hours for project phase will be Monday to Friday during the day shift and then will transition into shift work when production begins. The shift work may include 2nd shift and weekends.

Here's What You'll Do

  • Master safe work practices and adhere to Moderna's safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Collaborate to develop digital infastructure such as electronic batch records to reduce turnaround time (TAT) / Cost of Goods (COG) supporting commercial launch.
  • Author and/or Revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WI) and other cGMP documentation as needed.
  • Support Commissioning Qualification and Validation (CQV), PPQ and other site start up activities as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with QA and other cross functional teams to achieve successful completion of Project Goals and Objectives.
  • Execute operational activities with strict adherence to cGMP, SOPs, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Maintain training records and associated documentation.
  • Participate in 5S and Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Here's What You'll Need (Basic Qualifications)
  • A STEM degree with 2-5 years of relevant cGMP experience, or 5-8 years of highly relevant equivalent cGMP drug product experience in the absence of a degree.

  • Strong understanding of the current INT/PCV process and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ability to collaborate fluidly with peers, leadership and cross-functional support groups required.
  • Excellent written, oral communication, and organizational skills required.
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail while executing multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

  • This position is site-based, requiring you to be at Moderna's site full-time. This position is not eligible for remote work.
