This position reports into Maintenance Manager and is based at Fort Washington.

Role reports to: Maintenance Manager

Location: Fort Washington

What you will do

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for delegating and supervising work, managing work schedules, developing maintenance plans, mentoring and coaching staff, managing departmental budget, overseeing quality and safety of work, enforcing safety regulations, and participating in special projects as needed:

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures and strategies to ensure optimal functioning of equipment and systems.
  • Supervise and train maintenance staff to ensure efficient and effective performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and address maintenance needs and ensure smooth operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and expenses to inform budget planning and resource allocation.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve maintenance processes and procedures.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies, policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
  • Supervise and mentor maintenance staff to ensure high performance and productivity.
  • Manage maintenance budgets and ensure cost-effective maintenance operations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance processes and procedures.
  • Plan and oversee the reconfiguration, maintenance and alteration of equipment, machinery, building, structures and other facilities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Participate in special projects as needed.


What we are looking for

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6-8 years of experience in maintenance operations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of maintenance procedures and systems.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours as needed.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in managing maintenance budgets and cost controls.

Desired Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement maintenance strategies and procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Experience in collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
