What can you expect:

  • Responsible for managing and growing Marsh's Financial Institutions Industry Practice in the US & Canada.
  • Lead and interact across a broad region with multiple stakeholders while developing large-scale, high impact solutions for Financial Institutions companies across the organization.
  • Influence outcomes with a strong personal brand, collaborate well across a matrix, and serve as a subject-matter-expert who can be counted on to drive best-in-class risk solutions to Marsh's Financial Institution clients.
  • Constant learning and introducing new solutions to be recognized as a creative leader who partners with colleagues to identify growth opportunities and deliver innovative client solutions.
  • Develop strong partnerships across the organization at all levels by soliciting perspectives and working collaboratively with stakeholder groups in Marsh and across the MMC businesses.
  • Deliver superior solutions for clients by driving a client-focused culture via use of differentiated offerings and superior client service.
  • Develop and conducts client engagement strategies and presentations for high priority, nuanced and high-risk accounts within the Financial Institutions Industry.
  • Develop an expansion strategy and set sales priorities by gaining insight on major or nuanced market developments, new or improved internal offerings, specific account developments and an expansive professional networks.

We will count on you to:
  • Develop industry specific content to educate colleagues on industry trends and build expertise in the firm.
  • Accountable for client retention and expansion results within the industry.
  • Develop and execute a national business strategy to grow the industry and retain clients within the industry segment.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment in all geographies.
  • Provide thought leadership on the unique challenges facing the sector and ensure client-facing teams are best in front.
  • Attend, engage and present at relevant industry conferences, prepares and presents feasibility studies and publishes white papers, is a prominent, contributing member of relevant professional organizations and societies to expand and maintain a large professional network, maintain market exposure and represent the company and it's offerings.

What you need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 15 years' of complex commercial P&C insurance coverage experience in a risk management or brokerage capacity.
  • Extensive experience working with financial institution clients.
  • Working knowledge of complex insurance coverages and risk management strategies are required.

What makes you stand out:
  • Master's degree or other advanced degree.
  • CPCU, ARM or other insurance designations a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous leadership experience a plus.

Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one "anchor day" per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $196,700 to $472,000.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
