Endocrinology
We are thrilled to announce that our Endocrinology specialty has grown in the past year! We have multiple new providers who have joined our team to expand our service line and reach more patients across Cooley Dickinson Medical Group. Our specialty office provides services for patients with a wide variety of endocrine and metabolic disorders, including:
- Addison Disease
- Adrenal diseases
- Diabetes
- Endocrine disorders
- Lipid disorders
- Low testosterone
- Osteoporosis
- Thyroid diseases including thyroid cancer
The practice is currently housed in Cooley Dickinson's multispecialty medical facility located at 22 Atwood Drive in Northampton, MA.

Role OverviewWe are seeking full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant II to support the practice onsite, Monday through- Friday 8:00am- 4:30pm. As true partners to our nurses and providers, our Medical Assistants get the opportunity to work autonomously to the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of the collaborative team. Our Medical Assistants rotate between our team of providers.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring efficient patient flow through the office
- Assisting during office visits (rooming, examinations, procedures, and treatments as directed)
- Performing clinically appropriate tasks related patient panel management (phone calls, test results, prescription refill, coordination of care, etc.)
- Maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areas
- Interacting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs.
Qualifications QualificationsWhen hiring, we look for candidates who possess not only the relevant skills and competencies, but also positive attitudes, emotional intelligence, and genuine passion for this work.
- Required:
- High School diploma/GED
- Either BLS or Annual Manikin training including CPR and AED after 6 months of hire
- Strongly Preferred:
- Medical Assistant Course or diploma program or a minimum of 1 year professional experience
- National MA Certification via AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT
