Job Description

Pillsbury is seeking a full-time Attorney Recruiting Coordinator to support the Firm's Northern California Offices - This position may be based in either the San Francisco or Silicon Valley (Palo Alto) office, with occasional regional travel as needed. Under the direction of the NorCal Attorney Recruiting Manager, this position oversees recruiting and integration activities for law students, entry-level, and lateral associates.

We seek candidates who will work collaboratively with a team, while also handling individual responsibilities and adapting to rapidly changing priorities. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking for growth potential. The Attorney Recruiting Coordinator will work closely with the Attorney Recruiting, NorCal hiring partners and office managers to develop strategies for sourcing, attracting and hiring highly talented and diverse attorneys, both through law school recruitment and in the lateral market, as needed.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work closely with the NorCal Attorney Recruiting Manager to plan, coordinate and lead summer program efforts, monitor the budget and plan and attend events (as practicable) for the San Francisco, Silicon Valley, and Sacramento offices.
  • Coordinate summer work assignment system, collecting evaluations, coordinate mid/end-of- summer reviews and offers for San Diego summer associates.
  • Coordinate and oversee all administrative aspects involved in on-campus, entry level, and lateral recruiting, including registering for on-campus interview programs and job fairs, scheduling interviews, monitoring candidates throughout the process, preparing and sending offer letters, coordinating follow-up efforts and onboarding process for the NorCal offices.
  • Collaborate with administrative departments on onboarding and integrating new hires, including coordinating new associate integration activities for the NorCal summer, fall, lateral and patent agent hires.
  • Coordinate with the Diversity and Inclusion team to advance Firm's diversity hiring strategies and initiatives.
  • Maintain recruiting records, files, and spreadsheets in NetDocuments and generate LawCruit and Workday reports.
  • Assist with social media and web content for events and information related to the NorCal offices.
  • Partner with the NorCal Attorney Recruiting Manager to update and develop marketing materials and content for the NorCal offices.
  • As directed by the Attorney Recruiting Manager, develop brand building strategic plan for local/target law schools.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of professional recruiting experience in a law firm or professional services is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of the attorney recruiting process and legal employment issues
  • Ability to set priorities, work independently and handle a variety of duties effectively under time constraints.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with all levels of firm personnel as well as external clients, including search firms and vendors.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior analytical, attention to detail, planning and organizational skills.
  • Highly motivated and creative with ability to make sound business decisions.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion.
  • Proficient with MS Office and applicant tracking systems, preferably Workday and LawCruit.


Qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records will be considered for the position in accordance with the California Fair Chance Act. California Pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on skillset and experience, is $67,000-$75,000.
