At this division we manufacture special bar quality, merchant bar quality, and rod material. Our engineering team works with our on-site melt shop and two rolling mills and plays a key role in the safety, environmental, and capital expenditure projects.
Nucor Steel Nebraska is seeking applicants for an Electrical Engineering Coop on site to start as soon as September 2024. Electrical engineering co-ops will work closely with an electrical engineering mentor as well as with mechanical engineers, maintenance, and production teammates to execute continuous improvement projects on-site. Your responsibilities as an electrical engineering co-op will vary day to day as you will be involved in many different aspects of engineering. The electrical engineering co-op will be exposed to power distribution design, electrical construction engineering, hardware and software automation engineering, and technical support for maintenance and operations. All these components and more come together to be able to lead a project from conception to completion and support the facility. Eligible candidates will have the intention to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree through an ABET accredited program.
