Job Summary

Energetic Nurse Practitioner is being sought to join a 3-physician practice of peripheral vascular surgery. Although vascular surgery or in a surgical practice is preferred, we are prepared to train the less experienced practitioner in the care of the vascular patient.

This role is primarily working in the outpatient office. Outpatient responsibilities will include follow up evaluation and management of established patients and evaluation of new patients to the practice. Inpatient hospital duties will include follow up evaluation and management of established patients and evaluation of new patients when needed to provide coverage for the nurse coordinator of the practice and Residents. This will require the need for independent thinking as well as working closely with the vascular physicians and interacting with the office-based nurses.

Although the practice of peripheral vascular surgery centers on diseases of the arterial, venous, and lymphatic system, the treatment options are myriad encompassing conservative management, endovascular care, and operative treatment of a broad array of clinical conditions. Position responsibilities:

  • Procedures expected to perform in the practice setting: Suture removal, staple removal, wound vac placement and removal, dressing changes
  • Primarily outpatient - in office seeing new and existing patients
  • Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm
*All applicants must be certified, with an active Professional Pennsylvania license (PA or NP).

BLS and ACLS must be current.
