Senior Community Care of Kentucky is part of Volunteers of America National Services which serves as the Housing and Healthcare affiliate of the Volunteers of America parent organization.

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 based on experience

Required Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.   • Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms and other office procedures and terminology.
  • Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
Essentials:
  • Schedule and confirm patient diagnostic appointments, surgeries and medical consultations.
  • Compile and record medical charts, reports, and correspondence, using typewriter or personal computer.
  • Answer telephones, and direct calls to appropriate staff.
  • Receive and route messages and documents such as laboratory results to appropriate staff.
  • Greet visitors, ascertain purpose of visit, and direct them to appropriate staff.
  • Interview participants in order to complete documents, case histories, and forms such as intake and insurance forms.
  • Will make sure rooms are stocked appropriately and ordering list is up to date.
