Overview
The Payroll Manager is tasked with overseeing the payroll process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires a partnership with the Senior Payroll Manager to manage and execute payroll tasks, including semi-monthly, bonus, incentive compensation and equity payrolls upon demand. The Payroll Manager role is not only detail-oriented and analytical but also capable of seeing the bigger picture and contributing to the strategic direction of the payroll function. The role demands a proactive approach with the ability to be a self-starter.
Responsibilities
* This position must ensure payroll is run accurately, timely and in compliance with all federal, state, local payroll and regulatory requirements. *Partner in process US Payroll semi-monthly payroll and equity payrolls as needed. Supporting the entire payroll process from start to finish, ensuring timely and accurate processing, delivery and reconciliation of all payrolls including journal entries. * Assist in reconciliation and review W-2s and other payroll year end activities working closely with Accounting and Total Rewards team to eliminate errors. * Manage multi-state payroll tax issues and resolve tax notices in collaboration with ADP. * Review data sent from Workday to Payroll related system such as ADP and Merrill Lynch. * Assist management with projects as needed, including streamlining and automation of processes. * Oversees and participates in pre- and post-payroll auditing procedures and troubleshoots anomalies. * Partner with Payroll Manager in the accurate and timely processing of all employee stock plan transactions, options exercises, RSU releases and ESPP enrollment and purchases * Provide equity related payroll data globally * Work closely with the Accounting, Human Resources, Finance, and Internal Controls teams to ensure all financial controls and reporting activities are accurate and efficient * Foster an effective relationship and work closely with the leadership team at ADP to ensure strong service delivery and compliance within the parameters of the Company's contractual arrangement
* Assist in Developing Payroll Systems strategy and plan, and define Payroll systems requirements through partnership with HR, Finance, Business Process Owners, and IT teams. Develop proposals for new system implementation, system improvements or process improvement opportunities
* Collaborate in the development, implementation, and administration of payroll policies, practices, and procedures including payroll records, systems and procedures. Reviews and ensures the timeliness and quality of the data entry of payroll information
Position Requirements (Required and/or Preferred Skills, Experience and Education): * Bachelor's degree preferred
* CPP/FPC certification or equivalent preferred * US ADP Workforce Now payroll processing experience required * Strong Excel skills required * Experience with processing equity transaction through payroll required * Experience with ADP GL interface to create journals for Oracle ERP a plus * Prior experience processing payroll for a company with field base employees and/or multiple locations * Prior experience establishing payroll in additional jurisdictions * Knowledge of Canadian Payroll a plus * Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality with the utmost integrity
* 5+ years of experience as part of a payroll team or function. Must have exposure to US multistate taxation. Experience in with ADP Workforce Now a must * Experience with Workday HRIS system feeding to ADP Payroll system a plus * Ability to manage projects and strong communication skills
* Effective engagement with multiple stakeholders
* High level analytical and problem-solving capability * Strong process management and business process analysis competencies and demonstrated ability to support complex HR/Payroll models #LI-JT1

Salary Range
$111,000 - $156,133 a year
