The Governors State University ("GovState") Board of Trustees and the Presidential Search Committee announce a national search for the University's seventh president. The University invites applications, nominations, and expressions of interest for this exciting leadership opportunity.

Governors State University, a regional, public, comprehensive university in Illinois, seeks an inclusive, visionary leader who will build on a strong institutional foundation and guide GovState into a new era of excellence. Located 30 miles south of Chicago in University Park, the University serves nearly 5,000 students in Illinois and Northwest Indiana. Nestled on 752 acres of land, the University has six colleges, a School of Extended Learning, a robust arts culture, and 60,000 alumni. GovState provides affordable and accessible undergraduate and graduate education to culturally and economically diverse students.

The application deadline for best consideration is January 3, 2025. The search will remain open until a new President is appointed.

Candidates are requested to submit the following:

• A detailed letter of interest a letter of interest that addresses specifically how the candidate's experiences and qualifications intersect with GovState's qualifications and listed strategic priorities outlined in the leadership profile;
• A curriculum vitae; and
