Process Expert II - Concept Growth & Discovery - Coordination of Benefits
Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.
Hybrid Workplace Strategy: 1-2 days in office per week
The Process Expert II supports a single operations department by participating in project and process work.
How you will make an impact:
- Researches operations workflow problems and system irregularities
- Develops tests, presents process improvement solutions for new systems, new accounts and other operational improvements
- Support the development of new project plans by providing essential data and documentation to enhance operational efficiencies.
- COB subject matter expert across all lines of business, processes, concepts & application of NAIC guidelines & Medicare secondary Payer Rules & regulations.
- Performs in depth investigation research to identify existing gaps or untapped opportunities to drive incremental prevention savings & recoveries.
- Assist with COB SQL query ideation.
- Identify existing concept refinement or new concept opportunities.
- Ownership of individual performance with inventory management and status workflow.
- Performs targeted outreach for accurate order of benefits validation & eligibility updates.
- Ensure quality assurance high standards consistently are met.
- Assist with new process documentation to support operational growth and efficiency opportunities.
Minimum Requirements:Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 5 years experience in business analysis, process improvement, project coordination in a high-volume managed care operation (claims, customer service, enrollment and billing); or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
- 5-7 years of comprehensive experience in COB auditing, covering across all lines of business.
- Subject matter expert in all COB guidelines, including NAIC regulations and Medicare Secondary Payer Rules, applicable across all business lines.
- Adept at researching and analyzing data gaps and system inconsistencies to enhance efficiency and capture savings opportunities through prevention and recoveries.
- Identify innovative ideas, approaches, and processes to optimize savings and operational efficiency.
- Consistently uphold high standards of quality assurance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Support user acceptance testing and contribute to data validation and reporting analysis.
- Proficient in data validation and reporting analysis.
