What You Will Do

The Production Scheduler is responsible for planning and coordinating production schedules, ensuring efficient use of resources (equipment, materials, labor) while meeting customer expectations. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with teams in Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, Customer Service, Shipping, and Supply Chain to identify and resolve issues like labor shortages, supply delays, or equipment maintenance that could disrupt production.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong communication and analytical skills, capable of quickly identifying potential disruptions and adjusting schedules as needed. Proficiency in Oracle, Excel, and web-based applications is required.

  • Analyze raw system production plans and create production schedules considering customer expectations, MRP due date attainment, efficient inventory utilization, and overall efficiencies.
  • Monitor key raw materials required for schedule attainment and act on necessary shortages.
  • Monitor demand forecasts to identify changes and determine impact on production plans.
  • Proactively communicate potential problems impacting the production schedule.
  • Communicate commitment dates to manufacturing/operations and serve as a liaison between manufacturing/operations and supply chain or customer service.
  • Determine expected available date, up to date supply pictures, and expected output.
  • Align with Customer Service on customer delivery priorities.
  • Support Supply Chain in process improvement and implementation of scheduling systems.
  • Manage customer facing performance metrics (such as meeting scheduled ship dates) and internal Panduit supply metrics,
What You Will Bring
  • 1-3 years' experience in production scheduling or relevant experience in supply chain function.
  • ERP supply planning software experience preferred (e.g., Oracle, SAP; JDA Demand; JDA Fulfillment; E3 and/or AWR).
  • Strong communication skills, demonstrating working effectively in a collaborative environment and achieving expected results.
  • Strong proficiency in use of Excel; advanced knowledge of Excel and/or Access is a plus.
  • Proven project participation and ability to manage time with multiple priorities.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and proven ability to work through complex issues and problems.
