Program Manager, Clinical Improvement 🔍School of Medicine, Stanford, California, United States📁Administration📅Oct 17, 2024 Post Date📅104954 Requisition #Within the School of Medicine, the Department of Dermatology Administrative Team is a high-volume, productive, collaborative unit. The team collectively manages all administrative functions in support of a large and diverse faculty comprised of world-renowned faculty leading efforts in Research, Patient Care, and Education. Reporting to the Director of Finance and Administration and the Adult Dermatology Clinic Chief, we are recruiting a Program Manager (PM) to lead our Clinical Improvement initiatives. These initiatives include but are not limited to clinical data analytics and reporting, Improvement Capability Development Programs (ICDP), Value Based Care (VBC), Cost Savings Reinvestment Programs (CSRP), Wellness, physician clinical effort (cFTE) analysis and reporting, and physician/faculty incentives. General duties are also listed belowTo be successful in this role, the PM will need to operate in a people-first customer service focused manner prioritizing complex processes, communication, transparency, attention to detail, and collaboration with faculty and staff partners in the School of Medicine (SoM) and Stanford Hospital and Clinics (SHC). They will need to have excellent excel, financial, and program management skills with the ability to pull, summarize, and provide on-the-spot analysis of information from multiple sources for stakeholders.We pride ourselves on the development and training of our staff providing comprehensive onboarding and training processes that include side by side partnership to ensure your success.     Independently implement, administer and evaluate day-to-day activities of the unit, function or program by identifying and executing tasks and objectives, making recommendations that impact policies and programs, and assigning resources to achieve the goals of the program.Collect and analyze data, create reports, review and explain trends; formulate and evaluate alternative solutions and/or recommendations to achieve the goals of the program or function.Analyze and interpret policies; develop, revise and implement procedures for program or function.Represent the program or function as the key contact and subject matter expert within the department, unit or school. Commit resources and provide information and/or training. May also represent the program or function to external/internal stakeholders and constituencies. Organize and/or participate in outreach activities that may include developing communications and training, planning/promoting events and/or conferences.May participate in development of budgets, monitor, and approve expenditures. May perform limited forecasting and provide recommendations that determine the budget. May direct staff to perform various tasks and assignments. May also supervise staff.
* - Other duties may also be assigned.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    Financial and program management experience in the Stanford School of Medicine and/or Stanford Hospital and Clinics.Advanced proficiency in business applications, such as Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.Demonstrated knowledge of financial systems; internet and computer literacy.Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Strong communication skills, including ability to prepare materials for and clearly and effectively communicate information to internal and external audiences and client groups.Demonstrated project management skills and ability to contribute to or lead part of a multi-functional team.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):
    Demonstrated ability to prioritize own work and multi-task.Demonstrated excellent organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership of projects.Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to routinely and independently exercise sound judgment in making decisions.Demonstrated experience working independently and as part of a team.Relevant subject matter knowledge.Ability to direct the work of others, for jobs requiring supervision.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
    Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks. Frequently stand/walk, sitting, grasp lightly/fine manipulation.Occasionally use a telephone. Rarely lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh 11-20 pounds.

The expected pay range for this position is $99,015 to $126,383 per annum.Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.At Stanford University, base pay represents only one aspect of the comprehensive rewards package.
