Project Assistant

Schedule: Onsite, 8 AM - 5 PM
Pay Range: $21 - $23 per hour

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Project Assistant to join our team in North Auburn. This role is essential for supporting project management activities in a fast-paced construction environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction and strong organizational skills to ensure the smooth operation of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project staff to create strategic action plans and cost estimates for materials, time, labor, and other resources required to complete projects.
• Facilitate and contribute to the development of project plans and designs.
• Recommend and analyze materials, equipment, and practices used in the project.
• Assess the competence, capabilities, resources, and financial status of vendors.
• Supervise progress on development projects, ensuring milestones are met.
• Compare actual project costs to estimates, identifying variances.
• Work closely with the design group to modify plans as issues arise.
• Analyze equipment, systems, and processes to identify modifications that improve efficiency, increase quality, and reduce costs.
• Prepare periodic progress and cost reports for leadership.
• Ensure compliance with codes, guidelines, best practices, and company policies.
• Collaborate with the operations department to identify and troubleshoot project-related problems.
• Work with project engineers from other teams to share challenges and solutions.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support project success.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a construction-related role preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
