Job Description

The Project Lead is responsible for managing assigned projects and partnering with senior management, with the goal of advancing WNET's capabilities in support of initiatives aligned with the business and strategic plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Project Sponsor to build optimal team for assigned effort;
  • Create long- and short-term project plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines;
  • Schedule and facilitate team meetings to achieve project deliverables and meet timelines;
  • Ensure accountability by the assignment of tasks on projects to employees best suited to complete them;
  • In partnership with Project Sponsor, make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project;
  • Communicate with executives and team members to keep the project aligned with the goals;
  • Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected;
  • Adjust schedules and targets on the project as needs, or financing for the project changes;
  • Partner with Finance and HR to ensure resources are effectively utilized;
  • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, HR and other areas to ensure plans align with company policies;
  • Other relevant duties, as assigned.

Qualified candidates will possess a thorough understanding of the business and the ability to think strategically in support of organizational goals. Additional qualifications include:
  • A minimum of 5 years project management experience, required;
  • In-depth knowledge of organizational structure and departmental interdependencies;
  • Proficient in Project Management Software.

The WNET Group offers competitive salaries, excellent benefits, and a supportive working environment. Salary ranges are based on benchmarked nonprofit and industry related data provided by an outside consulting firm and are commensurate with skills and experience. The hiring salary range for this position is $85,000 - $105,000. Internal equity considerations will be reviewed before making a final offer.
