Job Description

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Reviews manufacturing documents and determines both product conformance and adherence to process.
  • Works with data from multiple manufacturing processes.
  • Performs product and process data gathering and analysis.
  • Generates NCM reports.
  • Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, and management.
  • Follows verbal and written instruction, accepts increased responsibility and is accountable for his/her actions.
  • Follows safety guidelines (PPE, etc.) and demonstrates safe work practices.
  • Maintains a good safety record, has a working knowledge of the behavioral based safety initiatives and accepts the responsibility to communicate unsafe situations.
  • Adheres to the safety and quality standards (goals and metrics) of the organization while working within a team environment.
  • Drives job and process improvement within the department (through 5S as well as other improvement initiatives).
  • Responds to multiple production assignments in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Overtime may be required, based on business need; regular attendance required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
  • Ability to work any shift, including nights and weekends.
  • Must have at least one year's experience as a Quality Analysis QS3.
  • Must be certified in QA processes for either Manufacturing or CH&A.
  • Math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
  • Ability to work with conversion factors, formulas and other related functions strongly preferred.
  • Ability to perform statistical process evaluations as directed.
  • Proficient verbal and written skills which allow for accurate explanations of all situations you are responsible to manage.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience with Document Control Systems and Oracle is preferred.
  • Possess the ability to react to changes of responsibility throughout the day.
  • Must have the flexibility to respond to multiple assignments.
  • Ability to learn database tools and become productive within prescribed period.
  • Ability to speak, read and write English with technical proficiency.

  • Wear the proper personal protective equipment for each task, including, but not limited to, safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, dust mask, etc.
  • Climb up and down from equipment; climb up and down a ladder and work at heights up to 40'. Maintain proper balance while working at elevated level.
  • Regularly lift and/or move 40 pounds. Anything heavier than 40 pounds requires additional assistance.
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms and use hands to finger, or handle objects, tools and controls.
  • Ability to stand, walk, crawl, and climb stairs regularly.
  • Ability to bend, squat, stoop, kneel or crouch frequently.
  • Ability to talk and/or hear frequently.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to work both indoors (regularly) and outdoors (occasionally) in all elements.
