Legal Assistant - Insurance Defense

Location: West Palm Beach, FL (On-site)

Beacon Hill Legal seeks a seasoned Real Estate Paralegal specializing in West Palm Beach.

Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys in all phases of residential and commercial real estate transactions.
• Conduct title searches, review title commitments, and resolve title issues.
• Prepare and review closing documents, including deeds, affidavits, and settlement statements.
• Coordinate with clients, real estate agents, lenders, and opposing counsel to facilitate smooth closings.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date files and documentation throughout the closing process.
• Draft correspondence and legal documents related to real estate transactions.
• Perform research on real estate regulations, statutes, and case law.
• Handle post-closing matters, including recording documents and disbursing funds.
• Prepare and file UCC financing statements and conduct related searches.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a real estate paralegal.
• Proficiency in conducting title searches and reviewing title documents.
• Strong knowledge of real estate closing procedures and documents.
• Experience with residential real estate transactions, including closings and title insurance.
• Familiarity with UCC financing statements and related filings.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software (e.g., ProTrust, SoftPro, or similar).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Paralegal certification or degree in paralegal studies.
• Experience with commercial real estate transactions.
