Cragun's Resort on beautiful Gull Lake is looking for an experienced Banquet Chef to take lead in our kitchen!

The Banquet Chef is primarily responsible for the planning, organizing, controlling, and directing of the work and employees in the BOH Banquet Department. The Banquet Chef oversees the food preparation of all banquet and catering events while always ensuring superior quality and consistency.

Main Responsibilities:

• Review Banquet and Event Orders (BEOs) daily while making note of changes
• Supervises and coordinate's all activities of cooks and kitchen staff who are engaged in food preparation
• Establish the day's priorities and assigned production and preparation tasks for the kitchen staff/chefs to execute
• Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff
• Work closely and in coordination with the sales/events team/coordinators along with upper food and beverage management
• Assists in producing weekly schedules with budgetary guideline for BOH banquet staff
• Develop new banquet menu's, prepare, test, taste and control out new menu items
• Assists the Executive Chef in hiring, coaching, and training and development of BOH banquet staff
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Requirements

• Previous culinary experience (in high volume environment) preferred, showing progressive advancement in responsibilities
• Good knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and food preparation techniques
• Knowledge of current and updated culinary trends
• Strong leadership and motivational skills
