Baer is looking for Salesforce Azure Data Migration Lead for a 12-month Federal remote project.

Title: Salesforce Azure Data Migration Lead
Location: Remote (Must be based in US)
Duration: 12 months
Rate: All-inclusive
Alignment: W2 or C2C (Vendors Not Permitted)

Description:

• Lead the end-to-end data migration process for Salesforce, including planning, extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), and validation of data from legacy systems.
• Design and implement migration strategies to ensure smooth data transfer and integration into Salesforce, maintaining data integrity and consistency.
• Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, and IT teams to ensure data mapping and transformation rules are properly defined and adhered to.
• Oversee and execute the use of Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other Azure tools to facilitate seamless data integration.
• Develop, test, and deploy custom ETL workflows, leveraging Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Python scripts to automate processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues throughout the migration process, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Conduct regular data quality checks and validation to ensure successful migration and alignment with business requirements.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and other stakeholders involved in the data migration process.
• Ensure all activities are performed within defined project timelines and in accordance with best practices and industry standards.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions to senior stakeholders, ensuring transparency throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience in data migration, with a focus on Salesforce and Azure platforms.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Logic Apps, and Functions, and their application in data migration.
• Expertise in designing and implementing complex ETL processes using SQL, Python, and Azure-based technologies.
• Deep understanding of Salesforce data architecture, including knowledge of objects, fields, and relationships in Salesforce.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues and drive resolutions.
• Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Data Architecture and Management Designer) are a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
