Job Description

School Compliance focuses on knowledge of compliance requirements and state laws to consult with school leaders to ensure school adheres to requirements including: using expertise in operations and compliance to drive improvements and changes; influencing acceptance of new practices, concepts and approaches in school operations and compliance. Bachelor's degree, 7+ years related professional experience, 3+ year supervisor experience.

SUMMARY:

The National Related Services Manager provides support to assigned schools in maintaining a compliant program in the area of related services. Ensuring timely and compliant delivery of services, adherence to state and federal guidelines and local contract parameters. Support will be provided in a variety of ways including but not limited to, creating and providing training, related service manual guidance, related service data analysis, invoice and cost analysis, searching for providers, working with national providers, and providing support through national email. This support may be provided directly or indirectly through the management of a team of contractors hired to serve on the National Related Services Team

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.

-Monitor school service timelines and analyze to determine areas for improvement

-Negotiate rates with providers based on market value of services rendered

-Establish contracts with service providers as appropriate

-Work with K12 legal team to ensure timeliness of contract processing

-Ensure existing contracts are compliant (current licensure, documentation)

-Work with K12 finance team and schools to develop annual budgets

-Provide financial forecast reports for schools with invoice data available

-Communicate regularly with school staff and national related service team

-Manage teams of contractors to ensure that they are completing assigned tasks and supporting schools to ensure compliancy in related services, these teams may be Regionally assigned contractors, invoice verification team, audit team or provider hunt team

-Address conflicts when they arise, in a professional and prompt manner

-Work directly with the school finance team and Academic Administrator of Special Programs on verification and approval of all related service invoices

-Share in the leading of team meetings including but not limited to National Related Service meetings, National related service regional team meeting, contractor meetings, school data digs.

-Provide training and support to new related service contractors and school level related service coordinators

-Complete evaluations for assigned contractors and staff on National Related Services Team

-Assist with developing procedures to ensure ongoing compliancy and increased quality of services delivered

-Assist in maintaining National Related Service Procedures manual template

-Assist in maintaining team Trello boards and Standard Operating Procedures for the Related Services Team

-Complete required weekly, monthly and annual reports re: status of related services

-Follow guidelines regarding confidentiality

-Other duties as assigned by K12 National Related Service Director

Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises 1 - 35 Full-time Equivalent (FTE) regular employees and/or contractors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor's Degree(s) AND

· 3 years experience in the field of related services, school-based therapy, or special education

· Equivalent combination of education and experience

Certificates and Licenses: None required.

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency.

· Ability to travel 10% of the time

· Ability to pass required background check

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

-Ability to communicate effectively and professionally via electronic means

-Strong organizational skills

-High comfort level with use of Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook

-Experience working within and maintaining a database

-Team player able to work in a fast paced and evolving program

-Working knowledge of special education and/or related services

- Experience with Medicaid billing is a plus but not required

-Experience developing and implementing procedures to complete tasks involving a team of individuals

-Experience working with students with special needs and/or their families is beneficial to this role

-Ability to manage resources well (including tools, time, and people)

Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person's education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position's work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee's salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position's level and expected contribution, and the employee's benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range

· We anticipate this position will pay between $60,476.00 to $75,595.00 per year. The upper end of this range is not likely to be offered, as an individual's compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Eligible employees may receive a bonus.
