Job Description:

We are looking for a dynamic Senior Director of Infrastructure and Platform Services to deliver exceptional end-user support and drive continuous service improvements. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, this role involves promoting modern workplace and mobile solutions for effective remote work, scaling support services, and leading change management as the business grows. You will oversee the development, delivery, and operations of all hosted infrastructure and platforms, ensure proper service level management with third-party providers, and manage event logging, incident response, and problem management to minimize business impact and address root causes of major incidents.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee IT infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance to ensure optimal and secure functioning of servers, networks, endpoints, and security systems.
• Lead architectural efforts and direct strategic plans for infrastructure programs with significant investments, critical business functionality, and moderate to high complexity.
• Communicate progress, issues, and solutions with senior leaders, ensuring timely and budget-compliant program delivery.
• Direct platform engineering efforts for development tools and services.
• Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, negotiate contracts, and ensure service delivery meets agreements.
• Drive the evaluation, development, and implementation of infrastructure solution architecture standards, ensuring effective reviews, governance processes, and adherence to regulatory best practices.
• Maintain and enhance business goals, architecture standardization, and system availability.
• Provide comprehensive technical support including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, training on new technologies, maintaining documentation, and assisting with other technical needs.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive approach to improve the end-user experience, including policy and procedures, communication, and employee engagement strategies.
• Drive the engineering, adoption, and migration of applications and MS Azure cloud services and containers for efficiency improvements.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities for services, innovative approaches, processes, and the retirement and replacement of outdated systems.
• Develop IT policies and procedures to support a scalable and secure IT environment.
• Ensure compliance and understanding of core processes, including demand management, sourcing contracts, service level agreements, regulatory compliance, internal audit, disaster recovery, business continuity, system development life cycle, and vendor management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Extensive experience in IT Service Management, ideally within client-facing systems for a financial institution or financial software vendor.
• Proven expertise in Platform Engineering (e.g., Terraform, Ansible), Servers (e.g., blades, virtual machines), and Containers and Orchestrations (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• In-depth knowledge of IT Service Management tools (e.g., ServiceNow), Automation and Scripting (e.g., Python, Bash, Ansible), and Directory Services (e.g., Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Azure AD, Okta, SAML).
• Experience with CI/CD, API Gateways, and API Management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree.
• Certifications in ITIL, networking, servers, storage, Windows, Okta, Outsystems, and other relevant methods/technologies are encouraged but not required.
