What you'll do...

As the Senior Manager, Solutions Consulting, you will drive business adoption and value for the product portfolio that powers Walmart's Global Communications teams. This role is vital to shaping Walmart's communications digital future, empowering teams to create, manage and distribute content effectively across all owned media channels, while maintaining Walmart's license to operate in a complex internal and external digital landscape. You will collaborate closely with business leaders, product, and engineering to build high value/high impact solutions.

This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical knowledge, communication skills and business acumen. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in content management (Adobe Experience Manager preferred), digital communications and technology, with experience in a large global organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Supply Chain and CMS Optimization:

Enable a decentralized, scalable content supply chain process for high-quality content delivery across owned channels. Develop on-demand and facilitated CMS training strategy and identify feature gaps/friction through user feedback. As a business lead, you will directly influence the CMS product roadmap based on user needs and learning curves, working closely with product and engineering teams to prioritize and implement improvements.

Content Retention and Legal Compliance:

Oversee the roadmap for content retention automation and legal search capabilities. Collaborate with engineering teams to implement systems for efficient content archiving and retrieval, ensuring business continuity and protecting brand trust and reputation. Ensure all content management processes adhere to relevant regulations and company policies, working closely with legal and compliance teams.

Headless Content Management and Enterprise Integration:

Lead the business side of developing headless CMS capabilities and API-first approaches for content delivery. Focus on seamless integration with enterprise web applications and native mobile apps. Collaborate with development teams to create and optimize content APIs that support diverse front-end technologies and platforms. Work with engineering leads to implement governance structures for managing content across decoupled systems.

Innovation and Industry Insight:

Leverage communication industry knowledge, including market trends and emerging technologies, to guide strategic planning. Innovate content enablement processes and methodologies organization wide. Mentor team members and engage with external communities to stay current on industry practices. Share insights with product and engineering teams to inform future development directions.

Technical Expertise and Product Development:

Apply knowledge of competitive landscapes, enterprise systems, and software design to understand product stacks and APIs. Demonstrate deep understanding of content management principles and best practices.

Collaborate with engineering teams to oversee application integration, focusing on product feature growth. Translate business requirements into actionable plans for product enhancement, working closely with product managers and engineers to ensure successful implementation.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

Utilize business metrics and analytics to guide stakeholders on complex issues. Develop and present business cases and ROI (Return on Investment) analyses for content enablement initiatives. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to implement data tracking and reporting systems that inform product decisions.

Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.

Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, management, information systems, mathematics, business, or related area and 5 years' experience in software engineering, consulting, DevOps, or related area.
Option 2: 7 years' experience in software engineering, consulting, DevOps, or related area.
2 years' supervisory experience.

Master's degree in Computer Science, Management, Information Systems, Mathematics, Business, or related area and 3 years' experience in enterprise design, implementation, or consulting., Prior work experience in the technical integrations between SAP, Workday, etc. and third-party applications., Prior work experience using technology packages such as SAP, Workday, Infor, and Coupa based on business requirements., Prior work experience writing functional specifications and test scripts., We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
