About the Position
We are currently seeking a NEPA Planner with over 10 years of experience to join our growing team. Pond has offices in Atlanta, Savannah, Jacksonville, Daytona Beach, Tampa, Charlotte, Huntsville, Mobile, New Orleans, and Houston. remote locations would also be considered. The successful candidate would support our existing environmental team with NEPA documentation for both transportation and Department of Defense clients. Projects will span across multiple markets and geographies affording opportunities for broadening knowledge and deepening skill sets.

About Our Team
Our team of environmental professionals includes biologists, ecologists, regulatory specialists, engineers, planners, GIS analysts, and community engagement specialists. Our environmental team is based in Atlanta but is engaged in projects throughout the southeast, the nation, and the world. Our existing environmental client base includes transportation, oil and gas, renewables, government (local, state, and federal), Department of Defense, private development, and water resources and restoration. The successful candidate would be an integral part of our growing team and would engage across markets and geographies.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Ability to work well within a team environment, positive attitude, multi-task, and self-motivated to produce high-quality work
- Preparing NEPA analyses and deliverables for the Department of Defense
- Managing schedules and environmental special studies, including sub-consultant partners
- Coordination with interdisciplinary teams of designers and environmental SMEs for various infrastructure projects
Desirable but not required:
- Experience with other environmental Department of Defense Deliverables (Natural Resources Survey Reports, Environmental Condition of Property Assessments, etc)
- Cross-trained expertise in a related discipline such as ecology, cultural resources, hazardous materials, air quality, noise, etc.
- Experience with project management
- Assembling and managing project teams, proposals, budgets, and schedules
- Public engagement experience
- MS in a relevant environmental discipline
Qualifications:
- BS in a relevant environmental discipline
- 10 plus years of experience with NEPA
- Strong QA/QC skills and ability to deliver complete and clean documents
Excellent technical writing and communication skills

Additional Information Many factors are considered when determining compensation at Pond, including scope and level of position, geographic location, candidate skill, knowledge and experience. Starting base pay may vary depending on these factors. We anticipate filling this position as a Senior Scientist with a salary range of $100,800.00 - $159,800.00 .
