SEO Manager

Our GFL team is expanding, and we're looking for a SEO Manager to join us in Raleigh! In this role, you'll play a vital part in driving all aspects of SEO, from content marketing and off-page link building to technical SEO. You'll collaborate closely with our content and design teams, directly supporting the Digital Marketing Director's strategic goals to optimize the organic performance of gflenv.com and our other websites, ensuring every element aligns with our company's objectives.

A "Day in the Life" of a SEO Manager:

• Lead, implement, and manage end-to-end SEO projects that align with the strategic direction provided by the Digital Marketing Director.
  
• Create and optimize keyword-rich web pages for one of the waste industry's fastest-growing companies.
  
• Oversee all website updates to ensure optimal performance and alignment with SEO best practices.
  
• Conduct thorough keyword research to align content with our business goals.
  
• Manage off-page listings, including Google Business, Apple Maps, and Bing Places, to improve our digital visibility.
  
• Attend and actively participate in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings via Microsoft Teams or in person as needed.
  
• Build strong relationships with business leaders across departments, serving as the face of digital marketing and a strategic partner for their needs.
  

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.
  
• 3-5 years of experience in Digital Marketing, with a strong focus on Technical SEO, content marketing, or link building.
  
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, and communication skills.
  
• Demonstrates leadership through effective communication, mentorship, and strong analytical and collaboration skills to solve SEO challenges.
  
• Proficient with SEO tools, including Ahrefs, SEMRush, Screaming Frog, and Google Data Studio.
  
• Familiarity with digital marketing tools and content management systems is preferred with experience within enterprise-level companies is a plus.
  
• Previous experience in a managerial or team leadership role is preferred.
  
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Technical SEO.
  
• Technical skills include: Ahrefs, content optimization, HTML, keyword research, link building, local SEO, off-page and on-page optimization, organic search, project management, Screaming Frog, SEO audits, team building, technical SEO, and web technologies.
