Job Title: Software Engineer - Contingent (Java Developer)

Location: San Francisco, CA

Job Description: Join our Supply Chain Management Technology team as a Software Engineer - In this role, you will:

• Consult on and participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering.
• Contribute to large-scale planning related to Software Engineering deliverables.
• Review and analyze moderately complex Software Engineering challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
• Contribute to resolving moderately complex issues and collaborate with others to meet Software Engineering deliverables.
• Leverage a solid understanding of functions, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with client personnel in Software Engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Define, develop, implement, and support REST microservices using Java Spring Boot and Apache Camel on internal and public cloud environments.
• Support the transition to modern DevOps practices.
• Ensure Supply Chain Management Technology applications function optimally, remain current, compliant, and scalable with enterprise needs.

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of application development and implementation experience.
• 5+ years of relational database experience.
• 5+ years of application production support experience.
• 5+ years of Java/Spring Boot experience.
• 3+ years of SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) Internet security protocol experience.
• 3+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience with React.
• 3+ years of Autosys experience.
• 3+ years of NDM experience.
• 3+ years of Apache Camel experience.
• 3+ years of Selenium experience.
• 3+ years with automated build and deploy tools like Jenkins/uDeploy.

Additional Desired Skills:

• Event Orchestration experience.
• Expertise in feature/toggle-based microservices.
• Experience with BFF (Backend for Frontends).
• Proficiency in TDD (Test Driven Development) and BDD (Behavior Driven Development).
• Experience with containers (Kubernetes & Docker).
• Knowledge of Domain Driven Design (DDD).
• Experience with CQRS and API compositions.
• Service discovery implementations.
