Vertiv is hiring a Sourcing Manager in Anderson, SC who will be responsible for supporting the organization in meeting its daily responsibilities aligned with its strategic goals. This role will support the Americas region but is expected to work with other regions especially when it relates to global suppliers to share best practices and standardize global processes where applicable.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead local Sourcing activities for the Vertiv Anderson plant. Anticipate and lead change. Envision what could be, challenge the status quo, and drive change.
- Manage the supplier on time delivery metrics for the Anderson plant and work with the Sourcing team to integrate into the overall AMER metrics.
- Establish and drive supplier performance improvement programs to drive continuous improvement in on time delivery, cost, quality, and risk reduction for Anderson plant. Work with other Sourcing Managers to ensure Anderson performance improvement is included in AMER-wide suppliers scope.
- Work closely with Commodity Management and local Purchasing to localize critical parts to improve lead time, cost, quality, and agility
- Expand site cost reduction pipelines and lead execution of cost reductions
- Work cross functionally with planning, materials management, procurement, operations, master data management, engineering and quality groups to improve internal processes related to supplier management, supplier evaluation, developing suppliers OTD capability, managing transfer projects among suppliers and supporting insourcing/outsourcing flex programs.
- Build Supplier Relationships and lead supply chain performance improvements
- Lead/assist in management and facilitation of supplier performance and business reviews.
- Lead and support data analysis for Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) to support category and/or negotiation strategies.
- Lead moderately complex sourcing events.
- Builds relationships with business stakeholders that facilitate the realization of strategic and financial value.
QUALIFICATIONS - 3-5 years of experience in procurement/sourcing/supply chain.
- A strong business acumen with experience driving supplier performance improvement
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong communication skills in English and Spanish with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Ability to work within a matrix management environment
- Strong analytical skills and advanced user of Microsoft Excel.
- Process improvement skills
- Project Management Skills - Ability to organize and schedule people and tasks
- Highly organized and can multi-task
- ISM, ASCM certification (preferred)
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related area.
