Senior Advanced Systems Engineer- PWSA Mission SE Skillset/ Requirements

Scottsdale, AZ

Contract Position

$82.19-$87.19/Hour

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to groundbreaking systems in defense and security, working on mission-critical projects that integrate advanced technology to deliver vital information and insights across multiple domains.
  
• Lead systems engineering efforts for the Ground Management and Integration (GMI) program within the PWSA initiative, including design, integration, and testing across Enterprise, Ground Segment (GS), and GMI levels.
• Drive the development and integration of T2 SUPERNOVAs, NOVAs, ground entry points (GEPs), and associated ground networks to support satellite constellations and mission systems.
• Perform detailed technical analyses, requirements management, and system design for networks, software subsystems, and communication interfaces.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to research, analyze, and determine the feasibility of COTS components, GFE/CFE, and vendor products for system applications.
• Facilitate customer and stakeholder discussions to ensure alignment with technical and program objectives.
• Champion new ideas and process improvements, leveraging technology trends to enhance systems engineering practices.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field; 8+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 6+ years of experience.
• Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Proven expertise in leading the full systems development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, integration, and validation.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, satellite communications, and ground operations systems.
• Proficiency in software functional analysis, interface definition, and Application Programming Interface (API) development.
• Experience with stakeholder engagement and technical presentations to senior-level audiences.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  • Hands-on experience with satellite constellation contact planning and ground operations systems.
  • Familiarity with designing networks and analyzing software subsystems.
  • Knowledge of COTS components and tools throughout the system development life cycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate high-level discussions with customer stakeholders.
