Sr. Software development engineer in test

Our client is seeking a seasoned Sr. Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join their dynamic team. This role involves writing and executing automated test scripts for our client's innovative product. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Information Technology, with a focus on test automation of applications from both UI and API layers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain software to test the product/application
- Define automation strategy and automation cases for unit, functional, and performance testing
- Participate in design and code inspections, proposing improvements to existing processes
- Build automated tools, libraries, and utilities to improve team speed, quality, and efficiency
- Work with a wide variety of technologies from front-end UI to back-end distributed web services
- Integrate tests and infrastructure automation into the CI/CD pipeline
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment following 12 Factor application development principles

Qualifications:
- 5 to 7 years of experience in Information Technology with expertise in test automation of applications from UI and API layer
- Hands-on experience with OOPs languages like Java, C#, and scripting languages like Python, Perl, Shell, Bash, etc.
- Experience with API and Microservices testing and automation
- Knowledge and experience with Test Driven Development (TDD), Behavior Driven Development (BDD) with a testing framework like Cucumber, JBehave
- Experience deploying applications in AWS or OpenShift (Kubernetes)
- Ability to quickly adapt to new tools and evolving technologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles

Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience with the Travel Industry
- Infrastructure automation using Docker and tools like Chef, Puppet, Terraform
- Experience of non-functional testing such as performance, load, stress, security, accessibility, and usability testing
