RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant in Tampa, FL.Principles Duties and Responsibilities:- Staff Accountant will develop general accounting and finance policies
- Complete accurate and timely general ledger journal entries
- Prepare and review monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
- Analyze financial data for unusual trends and variances
- Monitor operational metrics to identify and escalate any issues
- Compile and distribute monthly management reports
- Proactively assist with vendor set-up and vendor payment management
- As a Staff Accountant, you will gather appropriate support for new customer set-up and credit term evaluations
- Review, research, and clean-up of aged open items
- Analyze inventory activity for accurate posting to general ledger
- Complete the preparation and distribution of annual 1099 forms
- Lead change management projects and process improvements
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance
- 5+ years of accounting/financial experience with increasing responsibilities
- Comprehensive understanding of revenue and accounts receivables principles, general accounting processes, and best practices
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office products (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate effective prioritization abilities
- Focus oriented with strict attention to details
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Experience with QuickBooks is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
