Job Title:Student Engagement Specialist
Pay Rate:$20.00 - $23.00 hourly

Position Summary:Position Summary: The Student Engagement Specialist supports the daily operations of Student Leadership and Engagement, with a focus on clubs and student organizations and volunteer and service learning. The specialist serves as the primary contact for all campus clubs and organization student leaders and advisors, supporting programming and initiatives. The specialist also maintains and updates the database of community organizations, connecting with students and community partners to fill volunteer needs. The Student Engagement Specialist must work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following are the functions essential to performing this job: 1. Serve as primary contact for all campus club and organization student leaders and advisors.2. Support all campus clubs and organizations in daily operations including supplies acquisition, marketing, and space reservations.3. Direct students through the new club interest process.4. Manage the contact list for Student Leadership and Engagement and Student Government Association.5. Update and maintain volunteer and service-learning database.6. Update, maintain, and distribute forms for tracking of service-learning hours completed by students.7. Develop, implement, and evaluate Volunteer Service Fair each semester in collaboration with FCC LiveWell.8. Collaborate with the Coordinator of Student Leadership and Service in the periodic review and updating of the Student Government Association constitution, and the Club and Student Leader Handbook.9. Monitors and maintains service-learning webpages.10. Performs other duties as assigned.
1. Associates degree in Liberal Arts or related service field2. Minimum three (3) years of experience in project management or human services3. Ability to coordinate and simultaneously manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Desired Qualifications:1. Bachelors degree in Liberal Ars or related service field2. Broad-based knowledge of college functions and ability to refer students and customers to appropriate division/department3. Knowledge of basic computer skills and Microsoft Office4. Excellent oral and written communication skills5. Ability to maintain confidentiality
Work Schedule:Variable between the hours of 8:30-4:30 Monday to Friday
