Shift: 2nd Shift
Hours: 2:15 PM - 10:45 PM (Monday - Friday)
Department: Supply Room
Summary
Responsible for ordering, receiving, storing, and issuing equipment, material, supplies, or tools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for inspecting incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices.
Distributes supplies and tools among production workers, keeping records of material issued.
Moves or transports material or supplies to other departments.
Maintains inventory for machine parts, print labels, and supplies.
Assists with monthly and yearly inspections of all fire extinguishers.
Responsible for ensuring that the supply room is clean and organized.
Other duties may be assigned as apparent or required by management.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training.
Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to managers and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Have knowledge of Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software, Microsoft Word Processing software, Microsoft Access Database software, and AS/400 programs.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus. This job requires up to 25% local travel and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and toxic or caustic chemicals.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
