RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Systems Engineer 3 in Phoenix, AZ. This role is for 6 months from start date with protentional to convert to FTE. This is a virtual role, onshore candidates only, Arizona time zone preferred. If converted to FTE there are some options for traveling to AZ, if candidate is not local.Responsibilities:- The Systems Engineer will mostly work on backend components of applications; The work involves designing, developing, and optimizing systems that process data, handle requests, and manage application logic behind the scenes
- Writing code for APIs, events handling (publisher and consumer), and database (Oracle) to enable seamless communication and functionality
- Creating and managing APIs to allow front-end and third-party applications to interact with backend systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
REQUIREMENTS:
- Coding Languages - JavaScript, Java
- AWS - S3, code pipeline, Lambda, ECS, EKS, MSK, Glue Schema Registry Architectures
- Microservices including containerization and orchestration
- Event driven architecture including messaging protocols and event handling
- API design including monitoring and logging
- Deployment - Terraform, Bitbucket (or any other CI/CD tool)
- Must be willing to work in AZ hours
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration in an Agile environment
- DevOps knowledge
- Flowable
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
