We are currently searching for a Warehouse Team Lead to join our team.
Position Summary
The Warehouse Team Lead will plan, schedule, and support specific functions related to material movements and inventory management. This role will maintain inventory management (distressed inventories,) proper labeling of material (GMP regulation), and manage capacity of coolers and freezers in the area.
The position has direct responsibilities for the Warehousing and Logistics functions related to Atlanta Operations including the organizational performance, inventory management, and regulatory compliance warehouse facilities.
(Near-term) Responsibilities in a Startup Environment: In a startup environment, the Warehouse Team Lead will adapt quickly to changes, lead in developing and optimizing new processes, and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, managing inventory and resources efficiently, and troubleshooting unexpected challenges. The Team Lead will also contribute to scaling production processes, participate in diverse tasks to support the dynamic needs of the startup, and ensure the sustainability and scalability of all procedures as the company grows. Specific activities would include FAT, SAT, CQV, media and engineering runs that lead to stability batches. The successful candidate will need to be flexible to perform activities outside of the standard aseptic requirements in order to assist other departments during scale up of staffing and processes.
Position Responsibilities
- Primary management of the warehousing functions for Atlanta Operations.
- Recruit, lead, coach, train, and retain a high performing warehouse team. As the leader, you will set the tone for the area to maintain an effective and engaged team supporting manufacturing needs.
- Support the site budget supply expense process
- Plan and Schedule of the warehousing activities such as:
- Incoming Material and Material Stock Transfers Request
- Material Receiving Activities
- Material Quality Inspections and Sampling Activities
- Act as a liaison with Production Vendor Planner Schedulers to level resource requirements and mitigate constraints
- Measure and Report Incoming Warehousing Key Performance Indicators
- Measure and Report Supply Level Agreement Adherence
- Support Material Inventories Reporting & Compliance Requirements
- On hand and Projected Inventories
- Obsolescence
- Cycle Counts
- Develop and maintain measurement and reporting tools to support the effective management of warehouse capacities including physical space, equipment, and resources.
- Ensure warehousing Standard Operating Procedures are current, aligned with internal policies, external regulatory requirements and inventory management of materials and products at the site.
- Manage and coordinate contract off site storage requirements for overflow.
- Support Procurement and Purchasing groups for returned goods and credits.
- Support Atlanta Operations, ensuring proper processing of material destruction and inventory adjustment requirements resulting from quality defects and or obsolescence.
Education and Experience
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related disciplines applicable to Warehousing, and Inventory Management.
- 6 - 8 years of relevant experience in Materials Management and Warehousing, Supply Chain and or Manufacturing Planning.
- 2 years minimum experience leading a team.
Technical Skills and Competencies RequiredThe Ideal candidate would possess:
- Strong knowledge and practical experience of inventory, quality, and planning systems currently deployed in Zoetis including but not confined to SAP, MRP, ZLIMs
- Current knowledge of cGMPs is preferred.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience in utilizing analytical tools, spreadsheets, and databases to develop reports for strategic planning and communication.
- Proven ability to lead, synchronize and motivate colleagues to meet short- and long-term objectives.
- Ability to conceptualize, analyze and implement new methodologies in support of improving customer service, inventory management, and business alignment.
- Demonstrated ability to function and influence in a team matrix environment and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and principles preferred
- APICS training preferred
Physical Position RequirementsThe work conditions for the position are greater than 50% stationary with periodic standing and walking through out the workday(s). The colleague(s) may be required to work greater than 40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays to support the business.
