Technical Sales Support Specialist

Mueller, the nation's leading manufacturer of flow control devices for the water and gas distribution industries, has an immediate Technical Sales Support Specialist opening for our Specialty Valve product/service lines.

For the Technical Sales Support Specialist role, you will become an integral part of the Specialty Valve Customer Experience (C/X) Sales Support Team. You will assume full ownership of multiple projects simultaneously, designing and managing the projects through to completion..

Strong candidates must bring the following prerequisites to the table:

• BSME
• Proven competency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Ability to work with Microsoft Office suite (Word & Excel).
• Ability to understand and manipulate pre-configured design calculations (Excel based).
• Ability to understand and interpret written specifications.
• Ability to understand and interpret structural/mechanical project plan drawings.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers with varying levels of education and expertise.
• Ability to make decisions quickly and confidently.
• Risk awareness and mitigation experience:

Candidates seeking to set themselves apart from other candidates may also possess the following:

• PMP
• PE
• Exposure to Lean and/or mfg. environment.
• Masters or Advanced Degree.
• Familiarity with AWWA and water industry design principles and standards.
• Familiarity with metal casting design and principles.
• Familiarity with metal fabrications, weldments and machine tolerances.
• Familiarity with AWS/ASME welding codes and standards.
• Familiarity with concrete design and structural analysis.

Primary work hours will be Monday through Friday. Work hours will vary based on work demands. This position is salaried exempt and does not qualify for overtime pay.
