Creation of training resources and digital content aligned with organizational needs including Online courses, how-to videos and guides, animations, etc. Responsible for training Miele employees, dealers and independent service companies in the installation, operation and repair of Miele Professional manufactured appliances. Adherence to Miele's core principles, professional appearance and conduct standards. Assist in technical projects. Collaborate with the various departments within the Professional Business Unit to assist with specific technical resolutions.
Essential Functions
• Delivers excellence in training and content across a variety of modalities: instructor-led, online, and print.
• Conduct technical training in all areas of application, develop customer service skills, engage in technical activities with sales department.
• Updates current training materials as needed.
• Utilize the most suitable instructional methods according to the audience; such as individual education, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, and workshops.
• Actively collaborate with training management to identify specific opportunities and skills requiring employee improvement, including improved understanding of policies, procedures, regulations, technologies, and customer relations.
• Utilizes teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and resource materials.
• Evaluate trainees at completion of classes according to the company guidelines.
Requirements
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) - (Graduate degree preferred)
• 3+ years experience as a trainer preferred
• Previous experience in creating training material and digital content preferred
• Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos in English
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance manuals in English
• Excellent oral communication skills with the ability to lead training classes, connect and interact with Professional staff
• Ability to effectively interact with all levels of organizational staff
• Excellent understanding of service applications and training resources
• Ability to work professionally with colleagues with a reputation for collaboration
• Overnight travel as required (Approximately 30%)
• Strong Computer skills (SAP, Microsoft applications, Video and photo editing a plus)
• Strong understanding of basic plumbing and electromechanical skills preferred
