Educational and Experience Requirement:Bachelor's degree with at least one (1) year of related experience required. Familiarity and competent use of operating systems, productivity software, eLearning software, learning management systems, and technology tools. Experience working in higher education or information technology preferred. Proficient use of eLearning design software such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, and generative AI services preferred. Competency in instructional design concepts. A combination of education, experience, certifications, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position:Provide skilled technical support and training for campus information systems users, develop and deliver training content, materials, and programs. Evaluate software, and monitor programs that implement those designs.
Primary Responsibilities:Works with information technology teams and conducts user research to identify training needs. Designs technical training tailored for various user groups including faculty, staff, and students. Modalities include in-person, online (webinars), and on-demand. Assesses the effectiveness of training programs and refine strategies based on user feedback and emerging needs. Stays current with latest technology and training advancement and trends. Designs and delivers presentations and briefings. Serves as a consultant for campus users offering expertise on best practices and effective technology utilization. Develops, organizes, and maintains a knowledge base of technical support documentation and training materials for information technology processes, systems and tools. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Other Specifications:This position requires the ability to set priorities and procedures for accomplishing work based on previous experience and knowledge. Work is of moderate technical complexity. Policy interpretation limited to situations which have previously been defined and within established parameters. Must be able to read and understand technical manuals and procedural documentation. Position requires use of effective people and relationship-building skills, good written and oral communication skills, ability to present ideas and concepts in user-friendly language and strong customer-service orientation. Expect extended work hours or flexible scheduling. Travel between campuses and professional development opportunities may be required. Provides guidance to various team members as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
Up to 60% of this position, over the fiscal year during off-peak periods, may be performed remotely as determined by the supervisor.
