Volt is hiring for a Test Technician (Temporary) in Torrance, California.
As a Test Technician, you will:
- Operate standard tensile and fatigue test systems for material quality control and characterization.
- Perform system checks, periodic maintenance, and document all work performed per Divergent Manufacturing Execution System requirements.
- Accurately record data using Excel and related software applications.
- Assist in specialty R&D testing as needed and follow standard testing procedures precisely.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
The ideal candidate will have:
- High school diploma, GED, or higher.
- Experience with basic hand tools and a careful approach with attention to detail.
- Competency in Excel and other Microsoft tools; familiarity with metal testing fundamentals and tensile testing is a plus.
- Ability to work on-site, lift/carry 30+ lbs., and climb staircases.
Work Environment:
- Factory setting, with 10% work time near moving mechanical parts.
Pay Rate: $23 - $25/hr.
