The Heritage Group is looking for a well-organized and creative intern to support our Early-In-Career Talent Team. This is a great development opportunity for someone interested in exploring a career path within Talent Development, Recruiting and Marketing. As a member of the People + Culture Team, this person will work closely with and support the Early-In-Career Talent Strategy Manager and other EIC Talent Team members with a multitude of tasks.

Essential Functions

  • Help execute summer internship program events and help manage our summer intern mentorship program.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of the high school summer program (Pillars of Potential) during the month of June.
  • Create, edit, and design power points for presentations about EIC talent initiatives for internal use.
  • Take pictures and videos at every Internship + High School program event, Kids Science Camp, and HYP (Heritage Young Professionals) events and organize content within OneDrive.
  • Edit pictures and videos to create social media content that can be shared by interns, high school students, managers, young professionals and the EIC Talent Team on LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
  • Travel to different THG work sites in order to interview and photograph interns that are out in the field or at a plant site.
  • Create end-of-summer booklet for both college and HS programs containing intern/HS student pictures + stories as a gift for all interns/HS students and their managers/families at the end of each program.
  • Create a mini-video series that can be used on social media and our website to highlight the college internship/HS programs.
  • Attend all three days of Kids Science Camp at The Children's Museum of Indianapolis in July as a volunteer/floater throughout the classrooms and exhibits. Assist in preparation of camp as needed.
  • Organize Career Fair swag closet and complete inventory of all supplies.
  • Provide suggestions for improving experience on social platforms and internal processes, including extension of THG's Internship Program social presence onto additional channels.
Education Qualifications
  • Required High School or Equivalent
  • Preferred Bachelor's Degree : Open to all current college students pursuing an undergraduate degree at an accredited institution with preference for human resources, marketing, graphic design, communications, or business majors.
Experience Qualifications
  • Preferred 1+ years Marketing and Social Media experience.
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to troubleshoot challenges that arise.
  • A "figure it out" mentality and willingness to tackle any situation that may come your way.
  • Proficiencies in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft tools.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
  • Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to lift and carry small parcels, packages and other items and walk short distances.
Internships at The Heritage Group

The Heritage Group Internship Program provides hands-on, paid experiences in a corporate function or within one of our many operating companies. Interns can expect to network with other students and professionals, gain useful skills, receive mentoring, and make their own contributions to the organization. Additionally, interns can participate in our weekly hosted events focused on professional development, team building, and community service.

Intern pay is non-negotiable and is calculated based on current academic class standing $17/hour (Freshman) - $20/hour (Senior), etc.
