WORK SCHEDULE 48 hour work weeks
Hours of work will vary depending on the needs and demands of the plant(s).
SHIFT SCHEDULE
3rd (C) Shift Thursday to Sunday 8:00 am to 8:00 pm**
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the assisting the overall operation of production on their shift. The following list of responsibilities and requirements is not intended to be comprehensive and may be modified at any time by the Human Resource, in response to current business needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receives training and performs duties in several departments such as Raw Receiving, Load Out, and Feather Loader/Cook.
Learns plant proper operating procedures and practices in each department.
Assists in setting their individual performance goals and objectives with their Supervisor.
Observes experienced workers to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards required for performance of departmental duties.
Receives training in functions and operations of all departments to facilitate subsequent transferability between departments and to provide greater job opportunities.
Attends company-sponsored training classes.
Abides by all company Safety, QA and Human Resource policies.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
None required. Must be able to obtain a PIT license.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.

Sunday is a planned downtime for maintenance, housekeeping and training.
** Depending upon work assigned by management.
Shifts are subject to periodic rotation every 8 weeks.
