Job Description
We're looking to bring on a Visual Asset Designer to support in the creation of visual assets for several online educational programs. This designer with work with the Senior Video Producer and other teammates to translate visual briefs and references into high-quality imagery that will live within our curriculum. Must be a quick learner, extremely organized, and have a great visual eye. The ideal candidate will have a great sense of brand standards and will be able to translate complex concepts into custom visuals. Comfort working with specialized and technical content is desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Support the creation of visual assets for Chegg Skills curriculum
- Understand and internalize the org's visual asset guidelines and brand standards and be able to work within this style.
- Design/Illustrate custom vector images based on reference images, briefs or curriculum text.
- Revise and/or source screenshots, stock photos, and other visual materials.
- Work quickly, delivering several dozen simple graphics within a single work day.
- Receive feedback on images and be able to interpret and implement updates per feedback from the team.
- Manage image deliverables in an organized art log, and follow file management protocols.
- Deliver content that meets spec and is on time to support our program launch roadmap.
- Creates visual assets to support lesson plans, student activities, and written curriculum content.
- Follow our processes and procedures for image creation and management.
Requirements:
- Skilled in Adobe Illustrator, Figma, and Photoshop.
- 3+ year of hands-on experience with visual design and vector illustration.
- Experience designing infographics, or conveying complex information graphically.
- Experience with file management, including following naming conventions.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365, including PPT, Excel, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Collaborative. You enjoy partnering with people and have excellent project management skills and follow-through.
- Open and receptive to feedback. Equipped with a learning mindset.
Preferred:
- Understanding of content management systems.
- Experience designing decks and/or slide layouts.
- Experience working within SCRUM project management systems, working within sprints, and use of the project management software, JIRA.
