Shift Details: Monday - Thursday (4:30pm- 3:00am)

Starting pay is negotiable based upon experience (Great benefits after 30 days)

Position Summary

The purpose of this role is to make yard moves in a safe, efficient and timely manner, as directed by dispatch and plant management using company owned vehicles.

Accountabilities

  • Engage in Safety to ensure Plan To Zero (PTZ) is met
    • Conduct all activities and perform all job duties and functions following strict adherence to established, company implemented safety behaviors, processes, and procedures.
    • Operate in accordance with CSA 2010 7 Basics
    • Complete all required truck and trainer inspections, yard checks, and other misc. paperwork.
  • Improve and maintain Quality Expectations
    • Make yard moves in an efficient and timely manner, as directed by dispatch and plant management.
    • Effectively communicate with management on equipment needs and repairs as they arise.
    • Effectively communicate with site personnel, customers, vendors and business partners in a professional business appropriate manner.
  • Production Expectations are understood, achieved and sustained
    • Production-based position; must be able to effectively meet minimum production and quality requirements.
    • May be required to operate a Forklift, in a safe and efficient manner (training and certification to be provided, if necessary).
    • Loading/unloading trailers, moving pallets, freight, products, supplies, etc.
    • Any other duties as assigned by site leadership.
  • Mission and Values
    • Able to effectively work within a diverse team environment.
General Responsibilities
    • Perform sanitation, •Clean as You Go,• and good housekeeping practices in the assigned tractor and trailers and as direct by site leadership.
    • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. consistently throughout duration of shift.
Qualifications
  • Current CDL Class A License preferred.
  • Current DOT Physical Card.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to successfully pass Random Drug Screens.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or comparable work related experience preferred.
